The Community Wealth Building Bill was introduced in Scotland in March 2025. The Bill aims to enhance local economies by ensuring that wealth is generated, retained and circulated within communities and will be a key part of Scotland’s policy landscape going forward.
Employability services sit at the core of the Workforce pillar of Community Wealth Building through supporting access to and progression through local labour markets, developing skills in local communities and promoting fair work. They also support and can be strengthened by the other four Community Wealth Building pillars: inclusive ownership, finance, land & property and spending.
Come along to this Thematic Workshop to learn more about this important forthcoming legislation and get inspired through examples of implementation as to how it can help employability in your area.
This session will include contributions from Scottish Government, CLES, the Improvement Service and local case studies.
