  • Queen Elizabeth House 1 Sibbald Walk Edinburgh EH8 8FT United Kingdom (map)

The UK Government’s Scotland Offices supports Secretary of State for Scotland Ian Murray in representing Scottish interests within the UK Government and advocating for UK Government policies in Scotland.

Split between Dover House in Westminster and Queen Elizabeth House in Edinburgh, the Scotland Office staff play a key role in promoting co-operation between the UK and Scottish Governments, and ensuring that the UK Government is delivering for the people of Scotland.

Description

At this session, SCVO’s Policy Network will be joined by members of the Scotland Office’s Policy and Stakeholder Engagement teams. The Network will learn more about what the Scotland Office does, their current policy priorities, how their work impacts the voluntary sector in Scotland, and how the sector can work with them to share their experience and expertise.

The session will also offer an update on how the Scotland Office is contributing to the UK Government’s ambitions around poverty and how the sector can engage in this work.

A Q&A will follow before a wider discussion in which participants will be invited to share their work and priorities with Scotland Office colleagues.
