Where: Volunteer Centre at 56 High Street, Tranent, the Kindness Cafe is a lovely place to enjoy some time out.

A friendly place to sit, chat and relax

The Kindness Cafe is a warm, safe space for social engagement and activities. Volunteer-led it offers a once-a-month opportunity for those feeling socially isolated to come together over a hot cuppa.

The Kindness Cafe is held on the second Wednesday of each month, 10am - 12pm

The Kindness café offers the same warm experience whether you’re attending as a guest or volunteer. It’s a place where we all come together as old friends and new to support, communicate and celebrate with each other, sharing past and present experiences. It extends beyond the once a month café as we all look out for each other within our community.

It’s nice to get together with other people that you wouldn’t meet otherwise and hear stories about the local community, and it gives people somewhere to go. It doesn’t matter what age you are, it's just nice to have a chat where everyone is treated the same, no matter what their background.
