Social Enterprise Scotland: DWP & Jobcentre in Scotland 101

Everything you’ve always wanted to know but never dared ask!

Sometimes we can work with an organisation for so long that it feels like we know how it operates inside out. But the reality is DWP policy priorities and jobcentre staff roles are regularly updated and even restructured. So even when we think we know, we might be out of date.

This session will offer participants: – An overview of key current policy priorities for DWP as they specifically relate to Scotland – A practical look at the different customer touchpoints and staff roles within jobcentres, understanding who to speak to about what – The opportunity to ask ALL the daft questions without fear or favour – Information on the different routes to funding from DWP; and finally – The chance to tell us what else you would like to know more about to help shape future sessions

Speakers will include senior DWP colleagues in Scotland.

Target audience

Frontline staff and managers working in third, public and private sector employability services across Scotland

This session is brought to you by TSEF, Social Enterprise Scotland and the TSI Network.
