This briefing will give you an introduction to the Disclosure Scheme for Domestic Abuse Scotland (DS DAS) - also known as Claire’s Law – with time for questions. DS DAS gives people the right to ask about the background of their partner. It allows concerned relatives and friends the right to ask if someone’s partner has been abusive in the past. It also gives Police Scotland the power to tell people that they may be at risk, even if it is not asked for.
