This course is a good introduction to youth participation, but also a good space to meet with like-minded people interested in discussing and sharing experiences, skills and tools for meaningful participation. It is also a chance to explore UNCRC legislation and what it means for participation with under 18s.
Who is this session for?
The session is aimed at:
people who work with young people (in different spaces and places - education, housing, health, community settings etc.)
decision-makers keen to consult and engage with young people in a meaningful way.

Realising Article 12 (Children's Voice) - What makes participation meaningful?
By the end of the session participants will have:
An increased understanding of our role to uphold Children's Rights with East Lothian.
These outcomes aim to equip learners with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills to effectively engage and empower young people in various settings.
