We’ve pulled together key funding opportunities, upcoming training, and sector updates to support your organisation – including Carers Week events, new grants, and volunteer opportunities across East Lothian.

The session is an opportunity to share experiences, highlight barriers, and help shape a fair and inclusive approach to community participation across East Lothian.

Nominations are now open for the Inspiring Volunteer Awards 2026! Celebrate the volunteers who make East Lothian shine, all shortlisted nominees will be recognised at our special afternoon tea event.

We look forward to welcoming Abigail Ward from the Giving Machine to host a presentation about who the Giving Machine are, what they do, their impact so far and their mission.

Abigail will give guidance on the Giving Lottery and Community Grants.

NEW SUICIDE PREVENTION CAMPAIGN & WEBSITE FOR SCOTLAND

On Wednesday 16 April 2025, Scotland's new national suicide prevention public awareness campaign will go live.

On the same day, Suicide Prevention Scotland's new website, SuicidePrevention.scot will also be launched. 

People with mental health issues are to host the first conference of its kind in Scotland.

Now, more than ever, third sector organisations need to demonstrate their impact. To support you, VCEL has commissioned Evaluation Support Scotland (ESS) to deliver their ‘Introduction to the Basics of Self-Evaluation’ training.
