This introductory face-to-face course is designed for anyone who is keen to have basic first aid knowledge and wants to know how to look after a casualty whilst awaiting an ambulance.

This is an emergency first aid course and will include:

• managing an incident

• priorities of first aid

• CPR (cardio-pulmonary resuscitation)

• disorders of circulation and the airways

• control of bleeding, burns and scalds
