This short online course is designed for small to medium‑sized organisations that want to learn more about the basics of fundraising. The session will be delivered by Kirsty Young, SCVO’s Funding Scotland Development Officer, and will be participatory, with breakout discussions. You are encouraged to keep your camera on and engage throughout.
Overall course aim
Participants will gain an introduction to different types of fundraising, including:
Searching for trust funding
Writing applications
Monitoring and evaluation
Community and events fundraising
Course objectives
By the end of this online course, participants will have:
A broad understanding of the different types of fundraising and what is relevant for their organisation
More knowledge about finding and applying for funding and managing relationships with funders
An increased confidence in managing community and events fundraising
This 90-minute course is designed to be studied as a stand-alone session.
We also have a series of two Funding fundamental courses, which can be studied in conjunction with this course.
