In this seminar, three social workers will present the findings of their cutting-edge doctoral research projects on different aspects of working with domestic abuse in Scotland.
The first presentation examines low risk in constructed and enacted in a full multi-agency context for domestic abuse victims, with a focus on the role of Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conferences (MARACs) in Scotland
In the second, we outline the emergent findings from interviews with children and families' social workers around their preparedness through education and training in responding to dome3stically abusive fathers and their victims, highlighting the need for transformative change.
Finally, we explore how behavioural change programmes motivate men to address their domestic abuse behaviours.
