New Community Hub Opening in Musselburgh to Support Young Adults with Additional Needs

Launched in 2023, the Teens+ ‘Next Steps Programme’ supports young people in engaging in society in ways that are meaningful to them. This includes developing new skills, promoting social inclusion and learning to live independently.

The new Next Steps Hub, which will open Monday 15th September 2025 will offer young adults with additional needs the space they need to grow and thrive. The Hub will be based at Fisherrow Community Centre. Directions and access information will be shared before opening.

Young people will benefit from a 1:3 staff-to-trainee ratio, allowing for tailored support that meets their individual needs. The hub will also offer accredited learning, practical life skills, wellbeing support, and access to community and work-based opportunities. The environment is calm, inclusive, and shaped by the young people who attend.

The Hub will run Monday to Thursday from 9:00am to 4:30pm, and Friday from 9:00am to 2:00pm.

You can find out more about the Hub here.
