Strive Befriending Service Wins
Principles into Practice Award
The Principles into Practice Award for the care and support of people with dementia was awarded to Strive Befriending Service on the 3rd March 2013 by the Mental Welfare Commission.
Strive Befriending Service which aims to reduce social isolation, set up an intergenerational project to increase community involvement for older people in care settings.
This involved young people carry out a range of activities with the residents including singing, dancing, card making and quizzes.
